A subtle blend of the typical grape varieties of southwestern France, Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng, Torus white sweet wine comes from the best terroirs of the two gems of the Brumont vineyards: Montus and Bouscassé. A sweet wine with a very open nose offering exotic aromas (pineapple, lychee, etc.) and a fresh, balanced palate thanks to the liveliness of the two grape varieties. Very indulgent!

Rated estate (2023 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)

About the estate:

Alain Brumont develops his personality through a style that has made Madiran wines famous throughout the world under the Château Montus label, which he bought in 1980. Often bucking conventional wisdom, Brumont's vintages reflect his great freedom in interpreting terroirs with yellow and red clay subsoils, ranging from 20 to 40%. Tannat is featured in the château's three wines, Prestige, XL, Montus and La Tyre, and certainly delivers the most spectacular profile of this difficult-to-handle Pyrenean grape.
