The Frimaire cuvée is produced only in exceptional vintages, including 2000, and is the result of a December harvest from the finest terroirs. A great sweet wine with aging potential—rich, complex, and balanced by its acidity. A true delight to savor right now!

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated Estate (2027 Guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that—thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines—belong in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
Alain Brumont has helped the Madiran appellation flourish alongside his two estates, Montus and Bouscassé. Primarily planted on one of the vineyard’s ridgelines—the Maumusson hill—Château Bouscassé spans 50 hectares spread across all four cardinal directions. Antoine Veiry, Alain Brumont’s son-in-law, is taking over from the charismatic winemaker and making these clay-rich terroirs his own, leaving his mark starting with the 2018 vintage. While the wines are still designed for aging, their profile is changing significantly, following the same upward trajectory as Montus. The quality and consistency of the range presented justify the awarding of a second star this year.
