"A masterpiece of delicacy, according to James Suckling—this Riesling is simply impressive in its concentration!"

“This Mosel Kabinett Riesling is a little masterpiece of delicacy. I love its aromas of wildflowers and herbs, which combine with a wealth of mineral nuances on a light- to medium-bodied palate. Although a hint of sweetness is detectable, it has a fairly firm core, while remaining very delicate in its long, pristine finish. Drink now or cell it.” (James Suckling 2024)

About the wine:

The 2023 Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett is pure, intense, and elegant, with a complex, full-bodied nose featuring mineral and citrus notes. This Riesling is rich and full-bodied on the palate, with ripe, lingering mineral acidity and intense fruit. It is an expressive, distinctive Riesling with a very pronounced mineral character. Declared alcohol content: 9%. Natural cork. Tasted at the winery in January 2025. 2025–2060

Jancis Robinson

Jancis Robinson

Wine rated (2024 guide) 17/20

About the wine:

Very pale. Alluring, but not overly smoky, and already complex. Creamy, with notes of lemon and perfectly ripe apricots. Deep, yet always lively and expressive—typical of a Kabinett. Both creamy and precise. 2026–2035

Wine rated (2025 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

The 2023 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett initially displays a reductive aroma that takes time to dissipate, revealing only fleeting notes of green apple. However, on the palate, it is superbly lively, with dazzling lightness and lemony freshness, dancing carefree. It exudes its lemony fragrance and charm with lightness and grace. A quintessentially ethereal Kabinett. 2026–2056

About the wine:

This Moselle Kabinett Riesling is a little masterpiece of delicacy. I love its aromas of wildflowers and herbs, which blend with a wealth of mineral nuances on a light- to medium-bodied palate. Although a hint of sweetness is detectable, it has a fairly firm core, while remaining very delicate in its long, pristine finish. Ready to drink or worth cellaring.
