“An Auslese that’s captivating for its finesse, juiciness, acidity, and minerality—a wine that makes your mouth water, according to Robert Parker!”
"This young Mosel Riesling Auslese possesses a liveliness and precision that are often lacking in these wines, which are frequently overshadowed by the richness of botrytis. I love the freshness of the mint and chamomile that draws you into this juicy, concentrated wine and also makes it very delicate on the palate, with a medium body. Incredible precision and subtlety in the very long finish. Try to be patient, as this is a marathon runner. It can be drunk now, but it will be better from 2026 onward.” (James Suckling 2024)

About the wine:
The Graacher Himmelreich Auslese 2023 is very clear and precise, with an elegant and delicate nose that reveals aromas of mango and other tropical fruits, as well as ripe peach. Flavorful and crystalline on the palate, this Himmelreich Auslese is highly stimulating thanks to its finesse, juiciness, crispness, and mouth-watering salinity. The finish is long, lively, and irresistible. 8% alcohol by volume. Natural cork. Tasted at the estate starting January 24, 2025. 2026–2075

About the wine:
Lemony, with notes of peach, intense freshness, and a slight herbal touch. On the palate, it is beautifully pure and fresh, round and creamy, with notes of lemon and (almost) apricot. Sweetness and acidity are in perfect harmony. A young wine. 2028–2043
Vinous
Wine rated (2024 guide) 96/100
About the wine:
The 2023 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese, crafted with virtually no botrytis from perfectly ripe grapes, offers subtle notes of stone and yeast. On the palate, it reveals aromas of mirabelle plum jelly with lovely hints of lemon balm and fern, beautifully balanced by a crisp, tangy freshness of lime and, primarily, pale lemon. The finish evokes a lemon and yellow plum sorbet, with an exquisite freshness that cleanses the palate while retaining a refined sweetness. Incredibly refined, elegant, and so well-balanced. 2028–2060
