"This Spätlese can easily be stored for several decades, a gem of great purity to have in your cellar!"
"This wine exudes aromas of ripe lemons enhanced with a touch of red currants. It is lively and elegant on the palate, with a medium-bodied structure and beautiful clarity. Its purity and brilliance are striking. The finish reveals notes of melted ice cream and Amalfi lemon. Drink now or cellar. (James Suckling 2024)

About wine:
The Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese 2023 is very intense and open, with a complex, salty nose reminiscent of crushed slate rocks and intense, dense ripe citrus aromas mingled with hints of lemon. Round and refined on the palate, this is a lively and flavorful Riesling, with a firm mineral structure and floral aromas on a complex and youthful finish. This is a Spätlese that should be aged for at least 5 years. 8% alcohol declared. Natural cork. Tasted at the estate from January 24, 2025. 2030-2070

About wine:
Open and fragrant, with citrus and peach aromas, as well as a more savory/herbal smoky note, subtle but adding complexity. The 2023s seem to show less of Prüm's classic smoky/mineral reduction. Katharina Prüm suggests that this is sometimes the case in a fruitier vintage like 2023. Creamy and caressing, light and harmonious. Subtle, enticing, and long. 2026-2036
