About the wine:
The Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese 2023 is very intense and open, with a complex, briny nose reminiscent of crushed slate, as well as ripe, intense, and dense citrus aromas intertwined with hints of lemon. Round and refined on the palate, this is a lively and flavorful Riesling, with a firm mineral structure and floral aromas leading to a complex, youthful finish. This is a Spätlese that should be aged for at least 5 years. 8% alcohol by volume. Natural cork. Tasted at the estate starting January 24, 2025. 2030–2070

Wine rated (2024 guide) 17/20
About the wine:
Open and fragrant, with citrus and peach aromas, as well as a smoky, savory/herbal note that is subtle yet adds complexity. The 2023 vintage seems to exhibit less of Prüm’s classic smoky/mineral reduction. Katharina Prüm suggests that this is sometimes the case in a fruitier vintage like 2023. Creamy and caressing, light and harmonious. Subtle, enticing, and long. 2026–2036
