“The Pinot Gris Grand Cru Sonnenglanz Vendanges Tardives was harvested early, resulting in very precise and complex aromas of ripe fruit intertwined with mineral notes. On the palate, this Vendanges Tardives is very mineral and straightforward, dense, intense, long, salty, and lively, with a very stimulating finish. ” (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker) An intense and complex Pinot Gris, marked by great finesse, that will bring great pleasure!

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2019 guide) 17/20 (Reference wine)
About the wine:
Intense floral aromas, but the roundness on the palate still needs to blend with the lovely acidity.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Wine rated (2014 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good)
About the wine:
A truly beautiful expression of this terroir, where the wines exhibit remarkable maturity thanks to the presence of botrytis. This Pinot Gris is a delight, offering a wonderful balance of density and structure, along with a complexity and subtlety that will truly come into their own with a little patience.

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the wine:
This late-harvest Pinot Gris is wonderfully fresh, with aromas of candied citrus.
About the estate:
The perfectionist Jean-Christophe Bott is one of Alsace’s leading winemakers. He is dedicated to meticulous work both in the cellar and in the vineyard, which is cultivated using biodynamic methods. While the estate consisted of just 4 hectares when it was founded in 1953, it now spans 15 hectares across seven communes. The wines here are full-bodied and smooth, their richness well-balanced without the slightest heaviness, particularly in the Pinot Gris, which is definitely worth rediscovering. Each cuvée possesses both power and a long finish, two qualities that lead to a sense of fullness. To top it all off, the estate offers older vintages for sale and has recently begun renting out vacation homes.
