Domaine Bott-Geyl

Domaine Bott-Geyl has been run since 1993 by Jean-Christophe Bott, heir to a family tradition dating back to 1795. Domaine Bott-Geyl’s vineyards span 14 hectares, including 5 Grands Crus and 3 Lieux-dits, spread across 7 communes from Ribeauvillé to Kientzheim, in the central region of the “Perles du Vignoble” in Alsace. Domaine Bott-Geyl strives to enhance the natural qualities and unique characteristics of each of its terroirs and to manage the winemaking process so that these distinctive traits are reflected in the wines produced.

Jean-Christophe Bott converted Domaine Bott-Geyl to organic farming in 2000 and to biodynamic farming in 2002. He works with low yields and vinifies in a natural, minimalist manner: this embodies the art of blending tradition and modernity, ensuring the vineyard’s long-term sustainability while prioritizing environmental stewardship. The soil and vines at Domaine Bott-Geyl are cherished and receive the finest care: digging, plowing, application of organic compost, pruning, and harvesting done exclusively by hand. Domaine Bott-Geyl intervenes as little as possible in the process of transforming grape juice into wine, letting nature take its course to ensure that the bottle reflects the terroir and the vintage, thereby producing Alsace and Alsace Grand Cru wines of remarkable quality.
