"An ode to pleasure"

"This natural wine is both wild and magnificent, with a wealth of candied orange and floral honey aromas on a full-bodied but very lively palate. I don't know where its 15% alcohol content is hiding, but the touch of sweetness certainly has something to do with it. The fine tannins develop impressively in the very expressive finish. A cuvée of Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, and Muscat." (James Suckling 2025) (Orange wine is a white wine made using maceration.)

Rated estate (2023 guide) Cité

About the estate:

Mathieu [Deiss] also created the Vignoble du Rêveur from his mother's vineyards in Bennwihr (where he produces high-quality orange wines, among other things). The wines are unusual for the region, which can be a little confusing for consumers, but the result is magnificent. With a few years' hindsight, it is possible to analyze the precision of the terroir definitions and the ability of these wines to maintain their own balance. Discover the estate's unique geo-sensory tasting experience, which allows you to understand the relationship between the characteristics of the wine and the terroir where it was born.
