Mathieu [Deiss] has also created the Vignoble du Rêveur from his mother's vineyards in Bennwihr (where he produces top-flight orange wines). The wines are out of the ordinary for the region, which is a little disconcerting for the consumer, but the result is magnificent. This natural dry white wine from Alsace has lovely aromas of yellow fruit and fresh herbs. Medium-bodied and ripe, it offers seductive generosity. A hint of bitterness skilfully underlines the freshness of its lively, yet acid-free finish. Pinot gris, pinot blanc, muscat and riesling. Made from Demeter-certified biodynamically grown grapes.
