In my opinion, one of the top five most exciting winemakers in Beaujolais. This cuvée is a great introduction to his work. Magnificent winemaking, even for an entry-level wine.

In a style that is decidedly more Beaujolais than "Tentation," the single vineyard wines exude the purity of Gamay and invite indulgence. Fine tannins and a smooth texture flow across the palate and linger through the long finish, leaving a sensation of lightness. It is very well made and remarkably balanced. It is so juicy and smooth that one glass leads to another, if you're not careful. This highly effective, easy-drinking Beaujolais is perfect as an aperitif or with a cannelloni gratin with bruccio cheese. Rating = 3.8.
