“Morgon Javernieres Les Impenitents 2011, made from 60-year-old vines, offers aromas of black tea, tangy and salty walnut oil, and hints of an alkaline sea breeze, along with the expected scents of fresh blackberries. These are complemented by aromas of grilled meat, licorice, and herbs on a silky palate, almost as if it were a Syrah from the South. The finish offers a sense of transparency in its herbal and mineral nuances. It will continue to evolve until at least 2018.” (Wine Advocate – Robert Parker)

Deep ruby color. A powerful nose with animal notes, jammy red and black fruits, a hint of spice, plum, and menthol. The palate opens with a taut attack, superb fruit, a peppery mid-palate, fresh and spicy tannins, and a long, mineral finish of impressive concentration. A superb wine that will age well for 5 to 7 years.
