Added to this are aromas of grilled meat, licorice, and herbs on a silky palate, almost as if it were a Syrah from the South. About the estate:
Anyone who has tasted a wine from the brotherly duo Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît Desvignes has experienced a special emotion. Here, the aesthetic quest focuses on the subtle expression of the terroir (mainly in Morgon), the right blend depending on the vintage, and the wine's aging potential, achieved through careful viticulture, sensitive winemaking that eschews dogma, and refined aging without wood. The third star has been pinned to the estate's jacket for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we suspect it will remain there for many years to come.

Dense ruby color. Powerful nose with animal notes, jammy red and black fruits, a touch of spice, plum, and menthol. Tense attack on the palate, superb fruit, peppery finish, fresh and spicy tannins, and a long mineral finish with impressive concentration. A superb wine that will age well for 5 to 7 years.
