“A historic wine”

“The 2024 Morgon Côte du Py, aged entirely in concrete egg-shaped tanks, offers a charming, vibrant bouquet with mineral-rich red fruit aromas that unfold in the glass. The palate is beautifully balanced, with subtle tannins, formidable acidity, plenty of tension, and a lively, lingering finish. It is a very classy wine from a difficult vintage.” (Vinous 2025) And it has great aging potential to boot!

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)

About the estate:

Anyone who has tasted a wine from the Desvignes siblings—Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît—has experienced a special emotion. Here, the pursuit of aesthetic excellence focuses on the subtle expression of specific vineyard sites (primarily in Morgon), the right balance of structure tailored to each vintage, and aging potential—all stemming from meticulous viticulture, sensitive winemaking free from dogma, and refined, wood-free aging. The third star has been pinned to the estate’s lapel for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we suspect it will remain there for many years to come.
