"A Morgon with great depth and character—don't miss out!"

"The 2024 Morgon Perou replaced the Montpelain cuvée when some of the vines were uprooted. It is now made from the old vines of Perou, planted in 1931 and used for mass selection. It offers a fresh, mineral bouquet—vigorous and almost lemony—with impressive depth and blood orange aromas. The palate is medium-bodied, with a hint of graphite that highlights the savory black fruit and leads to a subtle finish, curiously almost Médoc-like. Approximately 4,000 bottles were produced.” (Vinous 2025)

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)

About the estate:

Anyone who has tasted a wine from the Desvignes siblings—Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît—has experienced a special emotion. Here, the pursuit of aesthetic excellence focuses on the subtle expression of specific vineyard sites (primarily in Morgon), the right balance of structure according to the vintage, and aging potential—all stemming from meticulous viticulture, sensitive winemaking free from dogma, and refined, wood-free aging. The third star has been pinned to the estate’s lapel for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we suspect it will remain there for many years to come.
