“Very refined and well-balanced, it exudes class! ~ Vinous”
“A garnet red with subtle violet highlights. A fruity and refreshing bouquet with good intensity, marked by raspberries, prunes, and a hint of cinnamon. Delicious and creamy on the palate. A beautiful balance between structure and tannins. The tannins are fine-grained and lend a lovely fullness to the entire palate. I’m curious to see how this wine ages, but I must admit it’s already very impressive. Well done.” (Yves Beck 2018)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2016 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
In 1998, Bordeaux wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima) purchased this 49-hectare vineyard, located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur, part of which extends into Pauillac and produces the Fleur-Peyrabon cuvée.
Decanter
Wine rated (2021 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
Crafted from a robust Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend bursts with rich, ripe black fruit aromas. It offers substantial structure thanks to firm, lively tannins that are well-balanced by crisp acidity, engaging textures, and a lingering finish. 2023–2038

Rated estate (2016 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the wine:
Accessible, with pleasant tannins and a soft texture, this wine can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace without any rush.
About the estate:
Owned by wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima), Peyrabon produces two wines. The first, from the Haut-Médoc, is easy to drink and has moderate aging potential. The second, named Fleur de Peyrabon, comes from well-located vineyards in Pauillac (4 hectares), but the extraction and aging process sometimes give it a slightly dry character. The wines are well-structured and offer good value for money.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
With its high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine displays good structure and rich, generous flavors of blackcurrant. Its fresh character gives it a juiciness that contrasts with the richness of the fruit. It is a tannic wine with good aging potential. Best enjoyed starting in 2023.
Vinous
Wine rated (2018 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
Peyrabon 2016 offers a finely nuanced bouquet of blackberries, raspberries, crushed flowers, and minerals. It exudes class. The palate is well-balanced with fine-grained tannins; it is one of the most briny Crus Bourgeois, with notes of oyster shells and spices on the balanced and bold finish. Very refined. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London. 2020–2034

Aromas of blackcurrant, tea leaves, mocha, and a hint of praline. The wine is medium-bodied to full-bodied with firm, tight tannins. Flavorful and well-structured. Best enjoyed starting in 2022.
