A beautifully crafted Haut-Médoc from sandy gravel soil with a clay subsoil. Already very expressive, this wine offers lively, intense black fruit aromas and a powerful, opulent palate without any softness, featuring ripe tannins for a round, silky attack. A complete wine!

Rated estate (2016 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)

About the estate:

Owned by wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima), Peyrabon produces two cuvées. The first, in Haut-Médoc, is easily accessible and has medium aging potential. The second, called Fleur de Peyrabon, comes from well-situated vines in Pauillac (4 ha), but the extraction and aging sometimes give it a slightly dry character. The wines are well-structured and offer good value for money.
