“Its smooth tannins complement the sharp character of the acidity ~ Yves Beck”
“The oak aging is certainly prominent, but the wine’s inherent character is also highlighted. Notes of blackcurrant and eucalyptus blend with hints of fresh oak, creating a harmonious bouquet. On the palate, the wine displays power and charm. Its smooth tannins complement the wine’s crisp acidity, resulting in a juicy, powerful, and flavorful finish. A great success; the wine will age well, but it will be enjoyed long before then!” (Yves Beck 2026)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2016 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
In 1998, Bordeaux wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima) purchased this 49-hectare vineyard, located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur, part of which extends into Pauillac and produces the Fleur-Peyrabon cuvée.

Rated estate (2016 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
Owned by wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima), Peyrabon produces two wines. The first, from the Haut-Médoc, is easy to drink and has moderate aging potential. The second, named Fleur de Peyrabon, comes from well-located vineyards in Pauillac (4 hectares), but the extraction and aging process sometimes give it a slightly dry character. The wines are well-structured and offer good value for money.
