Château Haut-Bailly
Château Haut-Bailly was created in 1630 by a Parisian banker, Firmin Le Bailly. But its history was strongly influenced in the 19th century by an extraordinary figure: Alcide Bellot des Minières, who brought scientific rigor to its management and brought the quotations up to the level of those of the "Premiers Crus". After him, a succession of owners followed.

Daniel Sanders acquired Château Haut-Bailly in 1955 and set about restoring the vineyard to its original size, equipping it with the equipment and tools essential for producing quality wine. Since 1979, his son Jean Sanders has taken over and completed his work. The distinction, bouquet, fatness and color of Château Haut-Bailly wines, together with their good development and staying power, make them of great pedigree, worthy of being placed at the forefront of the great wines of France.

The current owners, Robert and Elisabeth Wilmers, are committed to quality at every stage of production and selection. Château Haut-Bailly was indeed one of the very first to produce second wines, since it was in 1967 that the finest lots lacking the desired structure for the first wine were put on the market under the name : "La Parde de Haut-Bailly".
