About the estate:

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide to the Best Wines of France

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France

Rated estate (2014 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the estate:

Bruno Clair crafts classic Burgundy wines that are young, lively, and sharp; they often only reveal their full potential after a few years of aging. They are immediately recognizable by their refined texture and beautiful persistence. The estate has showcased the terroirs of Marsannay as well as a fine series of Gevrey-Chambertin wines, including the magnificent Clos Saint-Jacques and the estate's flagship wine: the elegant and refined Chambertin Clos de Bèze. The whites, which are less well known, are just as remarkable. The estate is praised for its consistency."

Not impressive - very light and unexciting

Very elegant, both in appearance and texture. A lovely wine, ideal for red meat, preferably served rare. Beautiful acidity, as befits the vintage, which blends beautifully with raspberry and blackcurrant notes.
