"A full-bodied Aligoté!"

“Despite a hint of sharpness, it offers lovely flavor in a dense, lively body, yet with a full-bodied texture.” (La Revue du Vin de France—June 2021). This Bourgogne Aligoté is atypical for its appellation. The vines, located on the outskirts of the village of Meursault, range in age from 35 to over 80 years. Aged on lees for several months, the fruit is very pronounced and a pleasant floral bouquet emerges. The palate is , round, and generous with richness, accompanied by a light acidity.

Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Born to parents who were a winegrower and a cooper, Sylvain Dussort and his wife settled here in 1982 and currently cultivate 6.5 hectares of regional and village appellations in Meursault and Chorey-lès-Beaune. Their farming methods eschew systematic pest control, and their winemaking uses only native yeasts, following Burgundian tradition with barrel aging. Sylvain is also an advocate for the new Bourgogne Côte d’Or appellation, which he has proudly claimed since the 2017 vintage.
