Made from grapes grown in vineyards between Savigny-les-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton, the Chorey-lès-Beaune Les Beaumonts is ideal for those new to Burgundy wines. Very refined and complex, with notes of red berries and raspberry, it reveals itself on the nose with great elegance. On the palate, it is powerful yet above all delicate, with smooth, refined tannins. A truly beautiful Pinot Noir!

The grapes are sorted and then placed in wooden vats whole, with light manual crushing; cold maceration lasts a few days, followed by the onset of natural fermentation (as the harvest warms) without added yeast; traditional Burgundian winemaking involves punching down and pumping over for 15 to 20 days, depending on the vintage.

About the estate:

Born to parents who were a winegrower and a cooper, Sylvain Dussort and his wife settled here in 1982 and currently cultivate 6.5 hectares of regional and village appellations in Meursault and Chorey-lès-Beaune. Their farming methods eschew systematic pest control, and their winemaking uses only native yeasts, following Burgundian tradition with barrel aging. Sylvain is also an advocate for the new Bourgogne Côte d’Or appellation, which he has proudly claimed since the 2017 vintage.
