“A full-bodied Aligoté!”

“Despite a hint of reduction, it offers lovely savory notes within a dense, lively structure, yet remains full-bodied.” (La Revue du Vin de France – June 2021). This Bourgogne Aligoté is atypical for its appellation. The vines, located on the outskirts of the village of Meursault, range in age from 35 to over 80 years. Aged on lees for several months, the fruit is very present and a pleasant floral bouquet emerges. The palate is round and genero , with richness and a touch of acidity.

Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Born to parents who were a winegrower and a cooper, Sylvain Dussort and his wife settled here in 1982 and currently cultivate 6.5 hectares of regional and village appellations in Meursault and Chorey-lès-Beaune. Their farming methods eschew systematic pest control, and winemaking relies solely on indigenous yeasts, following Burgundian tradition with barrel aging. Sylvain is also a champion of the new Bourgogne Côte d’Or appellation, which he proudly adopted starting with the 2017 vintage.
