Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (2016 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

Founded in 1931, the Cave des Vignerons de Buxy now has 342 members covering 1164 hectares in the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais regions, and vinifies 75% of the wines produced in the Montagny appellation. The grouping together of a multitude of small family farms has enabled the creation of a high-performance production tool, committed to a genuine quality approach to winemaking and production (Vignerons en Développement Durable). All the wines presented in our blind tastings are of very respectable quality, demonstrating that the Côte Chalonnaise winegrowing cooperative is active and capable of enhancing the value of its appellations. Quality-price ratios are extremely attractive for Burgundy.
