RVF (G&M)
15/20
Bettane & Desseauve
With its golden hue and greenish glints, this Montagny 1er Cru opens with floral notes on the nose that gradually give way to honey and dried fruits (hazelnut). On the palate, it offers beautiful fullness, where the power of the Chaniots, combined with its richness, creates a refined and elegant wine with excellent aging potential… An opportunity not to be missed!

Food and wine pairings
This refined, full-bodied, and elegant wine pairs wonderfully with caramelized prawns, as well as with grilled white-fleshed fish, oven-roasted Charolais veal, and roasted Bresse poultry, along with cheeses (goat cheese, aged Comté, or Parmesan)...

Rated estate (2016 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
The Vignerons de Buxy cooperative, founded in 1931, currently has 342 members representing 1,164 hectares in the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais regions and produces 75% of the wines from the Montagny appellation. The consolidation of numerous small family-run vineyards has enabled the creation of an efficient production facility committed to a genuine quality-driven approach to winemaking and production (Vignerons en Développement Durable). All of the wines presented in our blind tastings are of very respectable quality, demonstrating that the wine cooperative in the Côte Chalonnaise is active and capable of promoting its appellations. The value for money is extremely attractive for Burgundy.
