"A new vintage of Chardonnay from the talented winemakers of Buxy: fresh, floral, and delightfully approachable!"

The 2023 vintage of Buissonnier Chardonnay offers a fresh and intense nose that is instantly recognizable thanks to its aromas of citrus zest, white flowers, and fresh herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a liveliness that perfectly highlights its flavors of grapefruit, lime, and honeysuckle, ending with a fresh, mouthwatering finish.

Rated estate (2016 guide): 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

The Vignerons de Buxy wine cooperative, founded in 1931, currently has 342 members representing 1,164 hectares in the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais regions and produces 75% of the wines from the Montagny appellation. The consolidation of numerous small family-run vineyards has enabled the creation of an efficient production facility committed to a genuine quality-driven approach to winemaking and production (Vignerons en Développement Durable). All of the wines presented in our blind tastings are of very respectable quality, demonstrating that the wine cooperative in the Côte Chalonnaise is active and capable of promoting its appellations. The value for money is extremely attractive for Burgundy.
