Jean-Marie Bouzereau Estate
The Bouzereau family has been based in Meursault, where they have been growing grapes for over 10 generations. Today, Jean-Marie Bouzereau manages a 9-hectare vineyard in the villages of Volnay, Pommard, and Beaune for red wines, and of course Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet for white wines.

At Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau, the harvest is done by hand when the grapes are ripe but not overripe. The reds are sorted, destemmed, and macerated for a few days before fermentation begins without the addition of yeast. Aging takes place in barrels for a period that varies depending on the cuvée and vintage. The whites are transferred to barrels after 24 hours of settling: they ferment in barrels without the addition of yeast and remain on the lees until the following summer. The use of new barrels remains very moderate and varies from 10 to 30% depending on the cuvée.
