Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau
The Bouzereau family has been cultivating vines in Meursault for over 10 generations. Today, Jean-Marie Bouzereau manages the 9-hectare vineyard in the villages of Volnay, Pommard and Beaune for red wines, and of course Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet for white wines.

At Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau, the grapes are harvested by hand when ripe, but without over-ripening. The reds are sorted, destemmed and macerated for a few days before fermentation begins, without yeast. The wine is aged in barrels for varying lengths of time, depending on the cuvée and the vintage. The whites are racked after 24 hours of settling: they ferment in barrels without yeast and remain on the lees until the following summer. The use of new barrels remains very moderate, varying from 10 to 30% depending on the cuvée.
