Jean-Marie Bouzereau Estate
The Bouzereau family is based in Meursault, where they have been growing grapes for more than 10 generations. Jean-Marie Bouzereau currently manages a 9-hectare vineyard spanning the villages of Volnay, Pommard, and Beaune for red wines, and, of course, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet for white wines.

At Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau, the grapes are harvested by hand when they are ripe but not overripe. The red grapes are sorted, destemmed, and left to macerate for a few days before fermentation begins without the addition of yeast. Aging takes place in barrels for a period that varies depending on the cuvée and vintage. The whites are transferred to barrels after 24 hours of settling; they ferment in barrels without the addition of yeast and remain on the lees until the following summer. The use of new barrels is very limited, ranging from 10 to 30 percent depending on the cuvée.
