Jean-Marie Bouzereau Estate
The Bouzereau family has been based in Meursault, where they have been growing grapes for more than 10 generations. Jean-Marie Bouzereau now cultivates 9 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Volnay, Pommard, and Beaune for red wines, and of course Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet for white wines.

At Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau, the grapes are harvested by hand when they are ripe, but not overripe. The reds are sorted, destemmed, and macerated for a few days before fermentation begins without the addition of yeast. The wine is aged in barrels for a period that varies depending on the cuvée and vintage. The whites are put into barrels after 24 hours of settling: they ferment in barrels without yeast and remain on the lees until the following summer. The use of new barrels remains very moderate and varies from 10 to 30% depending on the cuvées.
