unusual

In its youth, this Meursault evokes ripe grapes, with its vegetal and floral aromas. After a few years of aging, the palate becomes rich and velvety, while remaining very fresh, with notes of honey and hazelnut. A blend of several vineyards over 50 years old, the diversity of the terroirs brings complexity and harmony to this remarkable Meursault.

Wine rated 15.5/20 (2017 vintage) (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Born to parents who were a winegrower and a cooper, Sylvain Dussort and his wife settled here in 1982 and currently cultivate 6.5 hectares of regional and village appellations in Meursault and Chorey-lès-Beaune. Their farming methods eschew systematic pest control, and winemaking relies solely on indigenous yeasts, following Burgundian tradition with barrel aging. Sylvain is also a champion of the new Bourgogne Côte d’Or appellation, which he proudly adopted starting with the 2017 vintage.
