Robert Parker

“The 2013 Montrachet Grand Cru comes from two of Jacques Prieur’s plots and was harvested on October 3, the same day as the Chevalier-Montrachet. Ten barrels were produced, nine of which were new. It is more expansive on the nose than the Chevalier, with roundness and generosity. The palate is crisp and balanced, displaying more depth than the Chevalier and featuring a long, spicy finish.” (Wine Advocate 2014 - Robert Parker)

Wine rated 18.5/20 (Exceptional quality wine)

Rated estate (2018 guide): 4 stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the wine:

Multidimensional, with a rich, enveloping body and, above all, a tension that grips you and never lets go.

About the estate:

Édouard Labruyère’s enthusiasm and determination to establish this estate among the ranks of the grands crus are remarkable. His efforts are evident in the vineyard—which has been farmed organically since 1997—in the cellar, where large oak casks and demi-muids have been introduced since 2012, and, most importantly, in the glass. With its exceptional range of grand crus across 22 hectares of vineyards—including 17 hectares in the Côte de Beaune and an exclusive selection of grand crus in the Côte de Nuits—this estate possesses all the attributes needed to join the elite ranks of Burgundy’s finest estates.
