Jacques Prieur's 2011 Musigny has more red fruit on the nose than the other 2011 Chambolle Amoureuses and Musigny wines, which tend to have more blue fruit. It's nicely defined, perhaps a little earthier than its peers, with a hint of meatiness developing in the glass, followed by wild heather and broom. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe and fairly toasty tannins. There is impressive depth here, even if it is not quite as refined on the finish. Nevertheless, this is a very fine wine, and when tasted blind, it outperforms some of the biggest names. (Wine Advocate 2014 - Robert Parker)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2018 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
Édouard Labruyère's enthusiasm and determination to position this estate among the ranks of the grands crus are remarkable. His efforts are evident in the vineyard, which has been farmed organically since 1997, in the cellar, where foudres and demi-muids have been used since 2012, and, most importantly, in the glass. With its exceptional range of grands crus from 22 hectares of vineyards, including 17 hectares in the Côte de Beaune and an exclusive selection of grands crus in the Côte de Nuits, this estate has all the attributes to join the elite of Burgundy estates.
