"Produced by a small terraced vineyard spanning just a few hectares, this wine is intense, concentrated, and lively, brimming with energy and tension thanks to its lovely acidity and moderate tannins. Bright, crisp aromas of raspberry, cranberry, mineral, and crushed stone give way to a tight, firm texture that will need time to open up and reveal its full potential complexity. Made from organically grown grapes.” (James Suckling 2024)

Wine rated (2026 guide) 93/100
Rated estate (2022 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
This historic house, founded in 1831, is now run with great enthusiasm by Albéric Bichot, the sixth generation of a family whose presence in Burgundy dates back to the 13th century. Supported by Alain Serveau (technical director) and Christophe Chavel (wine director), these three musketeers have built an original model of a Burgundy house, with Bichot wines in all the appellations of the greater Burgundy region, as well as four estates richly endowed with fine wines: Long-Depaquit for Chablis, Clos-Frantin for Côte de Nuits, Domaine du Pavillon for Côte de Beaune, and Domaine Adélie for Côte Chalonnaise.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
This historic Beaune-based winery, run by Albéric Bichot since 1996, has not always been known for the consistency and quality of its wines. But things have changed significantly. The Albert Bichot label now encompasses wines from six estates: Long-Depaquit in Chablis (see this address), Clos Frantin and Château-Gris in Côte de Nuits, Domaine du Pavillon, Domaine Adélie in Côte Chalonnaise, and Domaine de Rochegrès in Beaujolais. Each of these structures has its own winemaking facilities and dedicated teams, led by technical director Alain Serveau.

About wine:
With a purple-tinged hue, this Nuits-Garden is highly approachable. Its intense, ripe aromas of juicy, flavorful black fruits evoke black plum pits and blueberry jam. With a structure of surgical precision, its juicy palate is harmoniously framed by lively acidity and silky, well-defined tannins. This wine is AB certified organic.
