A relatively late vintage, 2013 yields a wine with complex aromas of red fruit and spices. On the palate, it strikes a balance between freshness, finesse, and richness. “Delicate, elegant, with energy and a lively tannic structure, this wine is yet another success.” (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France)

Wine rated (2016 guide) 16.5/20 + Editor's Choice ( Top Pick)

Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the wine:

Refined and elegant, with energy and a vibrant tannic structure, this wine is yet another success.

About the estate:

Although he has been based in the town of Meursault since 1998, Rodolphe Demougeot has been developing his estate since 1992; its core 7.8-hectare vineyard consists mainly of a fine selection of Pommard and Savigny-lès-Beaune crus. The red wines, made from meticulously sorted grapes—whole or destemmed—and vinified in concrete tanks, possess an energy that ensures they are drinkable even in their youth, with a rich, full-bodied style well-suited for restaurants and those who prefer to drink their wines young. The whites, meanwhile, offer a crisp, clean, and structured profile.

Wine rated (2016 guide) 15,5/20 (Good wine)

Rated estate (2022 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the wine:

The Les Vignots Pommard has a higher acidity, resulting in a complex flavor profile true to its terroir, with a crisp finish.

About the estate:

Rodolphe Demougeot founded his winery in 1992. He primarily produces full-bodied, intense red wines that age exceptionally well. Today, they are harmonious, having shed the harsh finishes that characterized past vintages.
