"Pinot Noir in its purest expression".

"Light cherry red. Nicely perfumed with red fruits and a floral touch. Very beautiful. On the palate, the wine is light and harmonious. Light but not without substance. It can age longer than this, but I prefer to drink it young." (Jancis Robinson 2025)

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

Although Rodolphe Demougeot has been based in Meursault since 1998, since 1992 he has been developing an estate whose 7.8-hectare heartland consists mainly of a fine representation of the Pommard and Savigny-lès-Beaune crus. The red wines, made from meticulously sorted grapes, destemmed or not, vinified in concrete vats, have an energy that makes them drinkable from a young age in a gourmet style, very well suited to the restaurant trade and to those who like to drink their wines young. As for the whites, they offer uprightness and verticality.

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2026) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About the wine:

This climate takes its name from a local expression linked to the overflowing of the Rhoin, the local river, which is then said to "borge". No untimely overflow in this 2023, with its fine nose of red fruit and blackcurrant. On the palate, a lively attack gives way to a supple, persistent texture. A straightforward wine, well rooted in its terroir and full of energy. 2027-2030

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

Rodolphe Demougeot founded his domaine in 1992. His red wines are energetic and dense, and age very well. Today, they are harmonious, freed from the hard finishes that marked past vintages.

Light cherry red. Nicely perfumed with red fruits and a floral touch. Very attractive. On the palate, the wine is light and harmonious. Light but not without substance. It can age longer than that, but I prefer to drink it young.
