This terroir encourages the vines to climb the hillside: it takes its name from "pimont," which refers to the foot of the mountain. With 16 hectares, it is the largest communal climate in the appellation. Pascal Arnoux cultivates 1.5 hectares here, producing this dark cuvée with chocolate and fresh fruit aromas on the nose. Rich and concentrated on the palate, it is supported by silky tannins coated with a hint of woody cocoa. Time is its greatest asset.

It offers a wide range of wines from the Côte de Beaune (around twenty appellations covering more than 20 hectares between Beaune and Corton), which are often featured in these pages.
