"We always appreciate the freshness and lively, tangy character of Fleur de Champagne brut, the group's most widely distributed cuvée. It is young and fruity, with light bubbles that embody the spirit of Duval." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2015 - RVF). "A beautiful star shines on this delicately floral and mineral champagne, which reveals aromas of citrus, white fruits, and honeysuckle on the palate within a very balanced structure. A harmonious champagne for aperitifs." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Under the energetic and passionate leadership of Carol Duval, now supported by her sons, this house, established in 1859 in Vertus, in the Côte des Blancs, has continually raised its standards. The estate's own vineyards are extensive, covering 200 hectares, with a significant proportion of grands crus in the Côte des Blancs. This represents a third of the requirements of the house, which produces 5 million bottles each year. The cellar master is also a woman, Sandrine Logette-Jardin.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine noted (guide 2014) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
About wine:
Founded in 1859, this company has been run by Carol Duval-Leroy since 1991. Its 200-hectare vineyard makes it the largest champagne house in the Côte des Blancs. While Chardonnay is often the sole grape variety used in its cuvées, this one includes 15% Pinot Noir alongside the white grapes. All have noble origins: grands crus and premiers crus from the Montagne de Reims, the Grande Vallée de la Marne, and the Côte des Blancs. A beautiful star shines on this delicately floral and mineral champagne, which reveals aromas of citrus, white fruits, and honeysuckle on the palate within a very balanced structure. A harmonious champagne for aperitifs.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About wine:
We always appreciate the freshness and lively, tangy flavor of Fleur de Champagne brut, the group's most widely distributed cuvée. It is young and fruity, with light bubbles that characterize the Duval spirit.
About the estate:
Located south of the Côte des Blancs, this family business has flourished under the leadership of the direct and energetic Carol Duval-Leroy, supported by her sons Julien and Charles. It is a recent success story embodied by a dynamic widow, just as Champagne likes them. This Belgian woman, who is passionate about hunting, has made Duval a modern, accessible brand that is now a partner of sommeliers. The cellar area (barrel vinification, storage) has doubled since 2009. Sandrine Logette, one of the few female cellar masters, has been overseeing the vinification process since 2007. She perpetuates the spirit of innovation with an eclectic range of mainly Chardonnay wines, characterized by their creaminess and fine bubbles.
