Gosset Champagne
Maison Gosset crafts its champagnes according to a code of excellence that guarantees connoisseurs of fine wines the highest quality. The grapes for Gosset Champagne are harvested by hand in collaboration with select, meticulous winegrowers. The winemaking and blending processes result in a distinctive style, seeking a balance and flavor profile that make Maison Gosset one of the very best Champagne houses today.

The Distinctive Features of Gosset Champagne

The main characteristic of Gosset is the absence of malolactic fermentation. This secondary fermentation follows alcoholic fermentation and converts malic acid into lactic acid. Its purpose is to soften the wine and reduce its acidity.
Maison Gosset carefully avoids malolactic fermentation in its Antique, Celebris, and Héritage wines. The result: Gosset Champagnes bursting with lively aromas and freshness, expressing the authenticity of their terroir.
Gosset Champagne is also distinguished by its bottles, the first of which was created in 1760. Who isn’t familiar with the slender, curvaceous bottle found throughout the Antique range? This prestigious range includes Gosset’s “Grande Réserve Brut” brut champagne, the “Grand Blanc de Blanc Brut” blanc de blanc, and the “Grand Rosé Brut.” The collar around the neck of the bottle makes Gosset champagne instantly recognizable.

Gosset Champagne's flagship products

The Grande Réserve Brut
This is Maison Gosset’s signature champagne, as it embodies its refined and subtle style. Its blend consists of:
45% Chardonnay, which comes through with delicate notes of mirabelle plum and peach.
45% Pinot Noir, which gives it a lovely acidity.
10% Pinot Meunier, which blends seamlessly into the overall profile, imparting notes of white flowers and citrus.
Its beautiful, luminous golden hue evokes softness and smoothness, while lending it a distinctive character. All these qualities make the Grande Réserve Brut a wine designed for fine dining, perfectly complementing poultry dishes, seafood, oysters, and strong-flavored cheeses.

The Celebris Line

This is Maison Gosset’s premium range, aged in the cellar for 10 years and undergoing no malolactic fermentation, but only traditional vinification. Its low dosage of 3 g/l makes it a wine that strikes the perfect balance between body, freshness, and fruitiness. Its pale yellow color is accented by a delicate stream of bubbles. Celebris Vintage 2007 immediately reveals complex aromas of toast, smoke, and hazelnuts, gradually unveiling notes of spice and mint. This is a wine designed for fine dining, ideal for pairing with fish or white meat dishes as well as classic fare such as grilled langoustines or oysters.
