This talented winemaker has generated a great deal of enthusiasm among wine lovers, but we don’t always understand why when tasting his wines. Many seem too heavy or lack purity and finesse despite their substantial body. Every now and then, a dazzling wine restores our confidence—most often a white.

Notes of garrigue, vine peach, and cherry pits in the very promising Mursaglia red, which will be bottled in the summer of 2019. We are very confident about its aging potential.

After working as a vineyard manager at the Leccia estate, Nicolas Mariotti Bindi took over an old, abandoned winery on the road to Oletta in 2015. He worked tirelessly to restore this facility, which allows him to better manage his production and work using gravity. The vineyard is certified organic, and the soil is cultivated according to best practices. Wine production takes place in stainless steel tanks and 16-hectoliter cement eggs. These authentic wines, always full-bodied and velvety, offer a great frankness of flavor and are delicious when young, but also age well. Their high quality and unfailing consistency have earned the estate its second star this year.
