"An appealing nose with notes of black fruit and spices. A hint of smoke, empyreumatic and wild grass notes are present, along with nuances of bacon. The palate is dense and tight, with high-quality tannins. Its long aging will allow it to mellow." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2018 - RVF)

Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

This talented winemaker has generated considerable enthusiasm among wine lovers, but we do not always understand why when tasting his wines. Many seem too heavy or lack purity and finesse despite their solid structure. Occasionally, a dazzling wine restores our confidence, most often a white.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About wine:

An appealing nose with notes of black fruit and spices. A hint of smoke, empyreumatic and wild grass notes are present, along with nuances of bacon. The palate is dense and tight, with high-quality tannins. Its long aging will allow it to mellow.

About the estate:

After working as a vineyard manager at the Leccia estate, Nicolas Mariotti Bindi took over an old abandoned winery on the road to Oletta in 2015. He worked tirelessly to restore this facility, which allows him to better manage his production and work with gravity. The vineyard is certified organic and the soils are worked according to best practices. The wines are made in stainless steel vats and 16 hl egg-shaped cement vats. These honest wines, always full-bodied and velvety, offer a great frankness of flavor and are delicious in their youth, but also age well. Their high quality and unfailing consistency have earned the estate its second star this year.
