"Made from a blend of three sublime Unico vintages: 2010, 2011, 2012, this emblematic Vega Sicilia cuvée embodies the ancestral Spanish tradition that makes this bottle unique, and extraordinarily complex!"
" NV Único Reserva Especial 2024 has been produced from a blend of wines from 2010, 2011 and 2012, which is not too far removed from the previous version, which came from 2009, 2011 and 2012, as the company is slowly trying to increase the average age of the wine. As I've noticed in recent years, they're looking for an old-fashioned house style, combining more developed characteristics with elegance and freshness. [...] The color shows a certain evolution, with a slight orange hue around the rim. The nose is complex and elegant, a more developed version of the 2014 Único I tasted alongside, with aromas of truffle, forest floor, ripe black fruit, sweet spices, leather and meat. The palate seems utterly polished, with a superb texture, smooth and elegant, with very fine tannins, subtle bitterness and a long, lingering taste. This is a superb blending exercise. 2024-2035" (Wine Advocate 2024) - Wooden case delivery available for orders of 3 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

About the wine:
The NV Único Reserva Especial 2024 has been produced from a blend of wines from 2010, 2011 and 2012, which is not too far removed from the previous version, which came from 2009, 2011 and 2012, as the company is slowly trying to increase the average age of the wine. As I've noticed in recent years, they're looking for an old-fashioned house style, combining more developed characteristics with elegance and freshness. This blend of Tinto Fino and a little Cabernet Sauvignon is also lower in alcohol, 14%, with a pH of 3.85 and 5.1 grams of acidity. The color shows some evolution, with a slight orange tinge around the rim. The nose is complex and elegant, a more developed version of the 2014 Único I tasted alongside, with aromas of truffle, forest floor, ripe black fruits, sweet spices, leather and meat. The palate seems utterly polished, with a superb texture, smooth and elegant, with very fine tannins, subtle bitterness and a long, lingering taste. This is a superb blending exercise. 2024-2035

About the wine:
Very complete in everything it does, open in the aromas, while highlighting the fruit. I like its freshness, which gives it depth. It's a bouquet-driven wine, with dry herbs and lots of cedar wood, but it leaves no stone unturned; it's complete. On the palate, it has a dark-fruit personality and a silky texture. A wine that will evolve, as it is less rich in tertiary aromas than the average. A wine to invest in, without a doubt. 2020-2040

About the wine:
Dried rose petals, sandalwood, cloves, balsamico, leather and dried flowers. Black fruits. Medium to full body. Tight and structured, with a racy, intense finish. Tight at the end. A blend of 2010, 2011 and 2012 Unico. Then ten years aging in wood and four years in bottle. Bottled in June 2019. For drinking or cellaring.
