"A textured mouthfeel, flawless balance, and simply delicious aromas: notice to lovers of exceptional tokaji!"

"A fairly pure and intense nose, with great finesse. Subtle notes of honey, mandarin, dried pineapple, lemon cream, apricots, and beeswax. Some mineral notes and a hint of resin. I love the balance of this wine, with a lively and crisp attack that contrasts with a waxy, medium-bodied to full-bodied palate. Very salty, nuanced and long on the palate. [...] Drink now or hold. Manual

Winemaking

Parcel selection, berry maceration for 2 days to swell, gentle pressing to obtain a high-density must, fermentation in new Hungarian wood barrels (100%) for up to 8 weeks.

Production method

This meticulous process is only possible in exceptional vintages and under conditions that favor Botrytis in the berries (the same process has been used for hundreds of years). Aszù corresponding to dried berries & "puttonyos" meaning "basket", the number before it, here "5", indicating the quantity of 25kg baskets of botrytized grapes added to a 136L "Gönc" barrel of must (unfermented grape juice) - so the higher the number, the higher the sugar content of your Tokaji!

Breeding

Aged for 2 years in Hungarian barrels of 136 and 200 liters, then refined in bottles for an additional 2 years.

About the wine:

Aromatic and elegant, this wine offers aromas of cooked and fresh peaches and apricots on the nose. Notes of blood orange and mandarin mingle with rich caramel flavors on a beautifully structured palate, followed by a long, luxurious finish.
