"This wine is exceptional. The 2021 Pintia retains its characteristic power and density, while being more 'al dente' than previous vintages, with an opulent but crisper fruit profile. It has soft, refined tannins, controlled power, a compact but layered texture, and beautifully integrated toasted notes. Plum, warm stone, and notes of wilted violet add to its complexity. This is undoubtedly one of the most harmonious and well-balanced Pintias of recent years, which is saying something. 2026-2040." (Jancis Robinson 2025)

About wine:
The current vintage is Pintia 2021, an exceptional year in Toro, one of the best to date. It was harvested during a cooler year, giving it more freshness despite its 15% alcohol content, with a pH of 3.83 and an acidity of 4.7 grams. It fermented in stainless steel and oak vats, then matured partly in stainless steel vats (15%), barrels, and casks with 75% new oak for 11 months. Three rainy spells in September really made the vintage, which is unusual in the region, and were the icing on the cake of a cooler year. The wine is still more powerful than the wines of Ribera or Rioja, with more punch, density, and abundant tannins, but with very good balance and lovely freshness. This is a long-aging Pintia, like a 2018 with more weight. A total of 235,355 bottles, 13,944 half-bottles, 6,535 magnums, and a few larger formats were produced. It was bottled in April 2023. 2026-2036
