"Highly skilled winemaking and long ageing have given birth to this memorable nectar: enhance your meal, or enjoy it on its own".

"With its extraordinary balance of sweet and tart flavors and aromas, this Tokaji Aszu is luminous and will remain so for years to come. Golden honey, fresh and cooked pears and figs, and a hint of fruity pomegranate molasses create a world of nuances before an epic, long, and dazzling finish." (Wine Enthusiast 2025)

Manual

Winemaking

Selective harvesting, maceration of the berries for 2 days to allow them to swell, gentle pressing to obtain a high-density must, fermentation in new Hungarian oak barrels (100%) for 1 month.

Production method

This meticulous process is only possible in exceptional vintages and in conditions that favor Botrytis in the berries (the same process has been used for hundreds of years). Aszù corresponding to dried berries & "puttonyos" meaning "basket", the number before it, here "6", indicating the quantity of 25kg baskets of botrytized grapes added to a 136L "Gönc" barrel of must (unfermented grape juice) - so the higher the number, the higher the sugar content of your Tokaji!

Aged for 2 to 3 years in 136- and 200-liter barrels, then refined in bottles for an additional 5 years.
