A traditional Greek product, Retsina is made by adding pine resin to the must of Roditis, a white grape variety from the Peloponnese. Gaia's Ritinitis Nobilis stands out for its balanced aromas: pine resin dominates, supported by citrus notes from the Roditis. A fresh wine to enjoy as an aperitif or with mezedes (Greek tapas). For those who love to discover new things!

About the estate:

(The Best Wines of Greece) Lean Karatsalos and Yannis Paraskevopoulos run this estate, which was established in 1994 and is considered one of the most promising in Greece. Production here is divided between two wine-growing areas. One is in the Cyclades, on the island of Santorini, in the Episkopi area, producing a white wine made from Assyrtiko grapes. This volcanic island allows this local grape variety, which is very fruity in its youth, to gain minerality with age. The other is in the Peloponnese, in Koutsi, a small village where the estate established its winery in 1997. In this region, in the heart of the Nemea appellation, it produces local white and red wines, always made from indigenous grape varieties such as Rhoditis and Moshofilero, with pink berries, and Aghiorghitiko or Saint Georges, with small black grapes.
