Robert Parker

(Notes vintage 2010)

La 40ème is a unique cuvée, which has been crushed at the foot, vinified without leavening, and aged for 24 months in barrels. The bouquet is very intense, with aromas of red fruits evolving into more candied notes, black olives and toast. A powerful, balanced palate with aromas of small black fruits and a slightly liquorice finish. A return to nature, to authenticity, a return to our roots!

A powerful wine, with very ripe black fruit. Enormous length. Be sure to aerate it several hours before drinking. A great wine, but not cheap.

A wine that gives us fantasies, so powerful and well-balanced is it, with great suppleness. Intense aromas of red and black fruits, vanilla and toast. A real treat! Super domaine with all very fine cuvées. Also wonderful to visit.
