The 40th is a unique vintage, produced using foot-treading, vinification without racking, and aged for 24 months in barrels. It develops a very intense bouquet with aromas of red berries that evolve into more candied notes and aromas of black olives and toasted bread. The palate is powerful and balanced, with aromas of dark berries and a slightly licorice-tinged finish. A return to nature, to authenticity—a return to our roots!

A powerful wine with notes of very ripe black fruit. Enormous length. Be sure to let it breathe for several hours beforehand. A great wine, but it doesn’t come cheap.
