About wine:
The best cuvée from the Bardi Alquier estate... very Syrah... made for aging! Wait a few years to taste this prestigious cuvée from what we consider to be the best winemaker in his appellation, who is producing his first vintage with the new owners.
About the estate:
Sophie and Thibaud Bardi de Fourtou took over this historic estate in Faugères in 2017. The wines we tasted for this edition are the last examples of the transition between Jean-Michel Alquier and the new owners. The couple's goal? To perpetuate the style of the estate, whose vineyard is dominated by old Syrah vines from massal selections (among the first planted in Languedoc in the 1960s by Jean-Michel Alquier's father, Gilbert), complemented by Mourvèdre and Grenache. We remain attentive to this new turning point.
