"A great classic for this fruity, slightly spicy and easily digestible Faugères".

Made from vines planted between 200 and 300 meters above sea level, this blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan is the estate's original cuvée. An intense, aromatic wine of red and black fruits, it also has hints of sweet spices. A perfect accompaniment to fillet of beef or guinea fowl...

About the domain :

Since the 1970s, this certified organic estate has been one of the jewels in the appellation's crown, appearing in the Guide with unfailing regularity. Boasting a magnificent terroir of 70 small schist parcels (58 ha) that sculpt the landscape, today it benefits from the know-how of the younger generation, inherited from grandfather Jean and father Bernard Vidal, both former presidents of the appellation.

On a slightly graphite frame, the wine releases a coulis of intense, jammy fruit, tinged with spices and smoky notes in a juicy, energetic texture, with fine, silky tannins. Sappy, refreshing length. A typical, particularly expressive wine at a reasonable price. Delicious with farmhouse guinea fowl with porcini mushrooms and cream or aligot sausage. Score = 4.2.
