This “curiosity” wine, made exclusively from very ripe Petit Verdot grapes, was not aged in oak. Rich and full-bodied, it reveals notes of very ripe red and black berries, mingled with subtle hints of humus and hints of violet-scented licorice (blue zan). It can, of course, be enjoyed now, but it will undoubtedly delight patient enthusiasts for several years to come.

It must be a good wine. But not for me.

A pure Petit Verdot—this is the first time I’ve had the chance to taste this standout among many great Bordeaux wines on its own! Deep black color with a beautiful sheen. The nose offers blueberry notes and a hint of aniline. A beautifully full-bodied palate with blueberry flavors, good length, and non-aggressive tannins. After the initial attack, there’s a certain vegetal bitterness that isn’t off-putting. Conclusion: a lovely southern wine with 14.5% alcohol that remains fresh and stands out for its balance and a lovely sense of fullness. A superbly crafted wine with a wide range of serving possibilities. Serve at 16°C
