Côtes du Brian

The Côtes du Brian PGI designation is a sub-region of the Minervois, located in the higher-altitude area of the commune of Siran, within the “Cru La Livinière” appellation zone, in the far northwest of the Hérault department.

The climate is Mediterranean, characterized by low rainfall and mild temperatures, at an altitude ranging from 250 to 350 meters. The prevailing wind is dry, blowing from the northwest from the Montagne Noire.

The Côtes du Brian regional wines benefit from a terroir with clay-limestone and sandstone soils. The vineyard consists of small terraced and sloping plots, facing south and southwest, and bordering the limestone plateau, isolated within a garrigue landscape.
