Bettane & Desseauve

"A flavorful, full-bodied, harmonious vintage. Great complexity on the nose, ripe fruit, elegant oak, licorice, eucalyptus, and tar, dense on the palate, with a tight structure, persistent aromas, and a long, fresh finish. Great potential." (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve) Worth cellaring!

Wine rated 15.5/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2025 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About wine:

A flavorful, full-bodied, harmonious vintage. Great complexity on the nose, ripe fruit, elegant oak, licorice, eucalyptus, and tar. Dense on the palate, with a tight structure, persistent aromas, and a long, fresh finish. Great potential.

About the estate:

Les Creisses refers to pebbles. Philippe Chesnelong took over this family estate in 1990. He is assisted by his cousin Louis Mitjaville, whose reputation extends far beyond Saint-Émilion. The Les Brunes cuvée generally plays on power, while the more immediate Les Creisses cuvée explodes with flavor. A truly excellent choice.
