This fine wine reveals a rich and elegant bouquet, with smoky, slightly resinous notes of white flowers, sweet almond, and rose... This complexity carries through on the palate, supported by a lovely body and refreshing acidity. “Most interesting and distinctive” (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2018 - RVF)

Wine rated (2018 guide) 14,5/20 (Good wine)

Rated Estate (2024 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

After completing advanced studies in biogenetics, ampelography, and oenology, Cyril Bourgne began his career in Bordeaux (Château de Fieuzal) before embarking, alongside his wife Nadia, on a more personal winemaking venture in the Languedoc. The vineyard is meticulously maintained, allowing for the extraction of complex and refined flavors during winemaking, which is now carried out in the new cellar nestled within the Saint-Chinian landscape. The precision of barrel aging, applied to the Grand Vin cuvée—dominated by Syrah and Mourvèdre—aims to redefine the contemporary expression of Saint-Chinian.
