Domaine La Madura - Classic Blanc 2004
100% Sauvignon, rich and full-bodied, well-balanced... Superb!
Fleurus 17/20This white wine is produced from a single, small one-hectare plot of Sauvignon. Its vinification in tanks and aging on fine lees for 8 months give it a lovely roundness, freshness, and, above all, complexity, with beautifully evolving aromas. A superb wine that, once again, pairs perfectly with exotic or Asian cuisine but can also be enjoyed on its own for pure pleasure...

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2024 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
After completing advanced studies in biogenetics, ampelography, and oenology, Cyril Bourgne began his career in Bordeaux (Château de Fieuzal) before embarking, alongside his wife Nadia, on a more personal winemaking venture in the Languedoc. The vineyard is meticulously tended, allowing for the extraction of complex and refined flavors during winemaking, which is now carried out in the new cellar nestled within the Saint-Chinian landscape. The precision of barrel aging, applied to the Grand Vin cuvée—dominated by Syrah and Mourvèdre—aims to redefine the contemporary expression of Saint-Chinian.
